Also, the applicant must validate an accurate reason to continue residing outside the United States. A non – U.S. source must provide any salary that is to be obtained by the applicant.

Persons are not allowed to obtain a salary from a U.S. source or to reside in the United States under this category.

Where to Apply

Persons applying for a B-1 Visa at a U.S. port – of – entry or pre – flight inspection can be Canadian citizens or permanent residents from visa waiver countries. Persons who must apply at a U.S. Consulate or Embassy are other Canadian permanent residents or those in Canadian temporary resident status.
